Two Great Science Sites
Seems like I’m on a science roll this morning.  I don’t teach science but I find it fascinating.  Besides there is a lot of science in art and a lot of art in science. I have used the first site many times when there was time left over but not enough time to start another project.
Cows Eye Disection: This site offers a fantastic visual experience to learn about not only a cow’s eye but also the human eye.  My students love to watch this video presentation and many have showed it to family and friends at home.  It is so interesting and well done.  The video is broken down into segments which is great because you can have discussion after each segment and we always have discussion with this.  After we watch this I encourage the students to head over to eSchool Online to virtually disect their own eye.  This is very nice also.  Most of my students really enjoy this saying they never knew the eye had so many parts.
Online Labs Via Michael Zimmer: This site is full of links to science simulations and virtual lab experiences.  Like I said I am not a science teacher but I think anyone who teaches science would like this site.
Both sites have been added to my Sensational Science Sites LiveBinder along with many more terrific resources.
