This morning a teacher was trying to hunt down some monopoly money or “funny money”. Must be Funny is the resource I shared with him so of course I will share it with you. It has different types of “funny money” to customize, download or just print. It also has a few ideas as to what it could be used for. I am sure he had a great project going on for his students and I must find out what it is.
This resource will be added to my “Classroom Printables” LiveBinder.

Here is another from Money Instructor that looks real and has coins also. Great for lessons involving money.
Just a little update about the lesson my colleague did that required funny money. It was a “values” lesson with a little math added to it for fun. He asked all of his students write down five things that they could not live without, such as family, education, religion, shelter, etc. He then put all of their responses in a hat. Next he gave each of the kids some funny money and held an auction. He auctioned off their “values”. He said it was a great lesson and very interesting too! He told me that one boy spent all of his money on family because that was the only thing he could not live without. The kids also talked about the lesson when they came to art. They were excited to tell me all about it. Just from the way they spoke I knew they were engaged and enjoyed this thought-provoking lesson. Thanks Sean for sharing this with me and my readers.
