ESL GAMES WORLD focuses on games to help the English language learner but is also great for students who already speak English. These are great language arts games.

The site does have ads but if you use your control button with your scroll wheel you can make the game big enough where they are not bothersome at all.

Fling the Teacher (screenshot above) focuses on present progressive action verbs. Students will love this game.  It’s educational and funny.

Games are organized by topic and levels.  ESL Games World has many templates to customize your own game as well as PowerPoint Games that you can also customize. You will find many printable board games too.

Some of the games can be played with more than one player and many of them can be customized by the student (create the character in the game etc.) These are really nice student-friendly educational games.  I really like that they have a sense of humor about themselves.
