creative-education: A great concept represented by a excellent graphic!   As it applies to public schools, peace might be considered harmony in relationships. There is no peace in public education today because very few are concerned about relationships - let alone harmony in relationships!   Federal and State mandates evaluate public schools and teachers on their ability to force students to do things they have no interest in doing. Relationship-building skills in teachers are essentially ignored in their evaluations. From top to bottom, today’s education reform movement produces an environment of confrontation in public schools - not peace! Those teachers that teach peace, that build an environment of mutual respect in their schools and classrooms, are literally risking their jobs!
