KB…Konnected Kids - 100+ Enrichment Sites for Elementary Students Who Finish Early!

Based on my most popular post “30 Sites for Students Who Finish Early”.
I’ve been working on this new site for a while and though it is not totally finished (probably never will be ‘cause I’ll always be updating it) I wanted to share it with my readers tonight.
KB…Konnected Kids is officially launching! It is filled with awesome (free) enrichment sites for students. Students Do Not have to register for any of these sites. (Teachers may do so if they want some of the extras but students may play away without adding one bit of personal information.)
KB…Konnected Kids is geared towards elementary aged students with a wide range of interests and levels. hopefully there is something for everyone.
Just a few of the 100+ sites I added are listed below.
Nat Geo Young Explorers (news/magazines)
Dust Echoes (audio stories)
Creature Features (animals)
Drum Machine (music)
Glass Blowing (art)
Amazing Reef (make it move)
Colour Colour (art)
Comic Master (create a comic)
In the News (news/magazines)
Story Maker (story creators)
Wonderopolis (Did you know?)
Science Monster (science)
Lascaux Cave (fieldtrips)
Checkers and Chess (games)
Tut Pup (math)
Kinetic City (science)
Right now there are over 15 categories for students to choose from. I have some ideas for a few more that I will be adding in the weeks to come.
☞There are many ways that you can use KB…Konnected Kids.
Sites can be used as enrichment or part of a lesson.
Use for when students finish early, reward time, etc.
Lets students hunt around and share cool sites they find with you and other students.
Send them to a specific category to browse around the sites.
Send them to a specific category and site.
Share with parents and other teachers!
❤ One idea I had was to send students to the “news” category and find an interesting news story that they could share with their classmates at the end of the day. I’ve done this before and the kids came up with some cool news stories and taught the other students and myself some new things.

…One more thing - If you have an awesome site for me to include, comments to make the site better, (or just overall good wishes ☺) please contact me using the KB…Konnected Kids contact form. Thanks!!!

Hope you and your students enjoy KB…Konnected Kids!
