Art Teachers don’t miss this one. Pinterest: An awsome way to collect and save all of the neat art projects you find on blogs and websites.
I have bookmarked so many great art projects but never had a great way to view them all at once, making it easy to find the one I wanted. Pinterest has ended that for me. It lets you gather web images and view them all on one page. It also allows you to write a description and add the url is automatically included..
You can create as many “boards” (categories) as you like. Check out two of my art related boards: Arts and Crafts for Kids and Art/Craft Recipes.
You can add as many “pins” (pictures) as you like to each board. Now when I want to look through projects I’ve collected I can just scroll through one of my Pinterest boards. When I find the one I want I just click on the picture and it links me directly to that site. Love it!
It is also a social site where you can follow others and see their pins. Terrific!
Currently in beta you have to apply for a invitation (just submit your email). My invitation came right away.
Pinterest is a site that truly fits my needs. It’s also fun and helpful to look through other people’s boards. I signed in via my Twitter account and I’m now following some great members of my Twitter PLN. Love it!
