Just updated!
Just when you think they couldn’t get any better @Livebinders adds more new features.
Today I noticed the new version of the Livebinderit (bookmarklet) tool. It makes it a lot easier to add links to binders when on a tablet (iPad). Very nice!!! I also LOVE the the new option of viewing binders with the tabs on the side. I definitely think it makes viewing links more kid (and teacher) friendly.
If you’re looking for an awesome way to store and/or share your resources check out LiveBinders. They are the best! EZ to create.

*Or maybe not. Thanks to a savvy reader of KB…Konnected apparently everything you read on the Internet, even from good looking websites such as this one, is not necessarily true.
Sara comments: “This is a website designed to teach kids NOT to believe everything they read on the internet, not to teach them about explorers. Read some of the articles, such as the one about Christopher Columbus. It teaches that a good-looking website doesn’t mean it’s true.”
I had to laugh when I read the first sentence in the Columbus bio which states he was born in 1951.
OK, that being said, this site would be a perfect tool to teach a lesson to students that everything they read on the Internet is not necessarily true and that it is always good to cross reference facts with reputable sites/resources. It’s also a good lesson to be learned by this blogger. LOL
A HUGE shout out and thanks to Sara! Much appreciated.

How to add your @LiveBinders to Pinterest!
#elemchat #spedchat #edtech
Amy just sent me a question from Pinterest “Thanks for the resources! Say, how did you get Pinterest go acknowledge your livebinders? It keeps telling me that it doesn’t see any pictures or movies when I hit the “Pin It” button. Suggestions?”
You bet!
I thought I would put my solution here for any of my readers that may be interested.
There is a bit of a trick to it.
- First create or find a picture on your computer that you would like to represent your binder.
- Next go to your Pinterest account and click on “Add” in the upper right hand corner.
- Click on “upload a pin”
- Select your image
- Next add the binder’s URL to the text box and pin to the board of your choice.
- Now Click “edit” and move your URL to the link box.
- Write a description of your binder and save the pin
I would love to see more LiveBinders on Pinterest!

Ellen has “been building and inventing educational things for the past 20 years, including educational games, projects, songs, activities, skits, plays, textbooks, hands-on science exhibits, and published books.”
She is now working her way through “the stacks of things sitting on my shelves, digitalizing them, and posting them for anyone who might find them useful. Individual items are posted as FREE DOWNLOADS.”
Lucky for us!
What I really think you might like is her free downloads that include games and units. Lots of neat science stuff but she also has some great things for other subjects.
I have listed just a few of the neat items I discovered looking through the science tabs
- Body Bingo
- Anatomy T-shirt
- Pop-up Barnacle
- Periodic Table Board Game
- Photosynthesis Relay Race
Screenshot of all categories below.
Ellen has also just added a YouTube channel to her resources that focuses on science.
