Very cute share chair! Budget friendly too.
#1stchat #2ndchat
Oooooh! I’m going to miss my chair. Last year my art program was cut due to budget cuts. Our computer program was cut also. Well, I decided not to take the position offered and instead have decided to take some time off and possibly go back to school for another Masters degree. Probably educational technology since it has been my passion for awhile. I am blessed that I have the opportunity to “start anew” and take some time to figure it all out. Of course that means more time to blog. (Don’t let my husband know though….he thinks I already spend too much time on the computer. Really?)
Here’s the FYI on the chair I will really miss, but not nearly a millionth of how much I will miss the students and staff at my school.
I have used a $3 garage sale chair for about 20 years now. It’s on wheels and the fabric has been painted (with fabric paint and sponges many times), buttons have been added and pulled off, and glued on again (kids love glue guns). There is not much “cush” left in the seat but students still clamor to sit in it. This chair has been loved by students.  I did not take it with me on my final day but chose to leave it at the school. Makes me smile when I think of one of the kiddos sitting in it.

One teacher created the “Share Chair” using a plastic lawn chair covered in stickers! I would spray paint it a fun color first, but design aside, I think that this is a good idea to help motivate students and make sharing a privilege and special!
