Fraboom Online Children’s Museum is simply the best of it’s kind.
#elemchat #spedchat #sschat #scichat #digitalcitizenship
It is on my list of “30 Sites for Student’s Who Finish Early”, and I really wanted to bring special attention to it because it is in the top 5 of my students’ favorite sites. Mine too!
Fraboom has fantastic educational games, videos, interactive books, and even a live drawing class where the cheerful instructor speaks to you by name and will answer your questions. This blows students’ minds the first time they try it. They can’t believe that someone on their computer screen is actually talking to them and that they can respond via a chat box. Fantastic application for digital literacy and citizenship.
Students participating in the daily doodle can chat with the instructor but not any other “students” taking the class. My students have taken classes with kids from all over the country as well as kids in other rooms at our school. I have never seen anything like this anywhere else for kids. Totally safe….and FREE!!!
