Excellent interface for young readers.
Each book contains engaging artwork, audio and text. The words are highlighted as the text is read. Some of the pages contain animation too.
There are three series to explore: Fern the Fox, Ben the Mouse, and Flame the Dragon. There are many titles to choose from in each series.
There are all sorts of user controls at the bottom of the page that are very student friendly. They include automatic/manual page control, start/stop animation on page, highlight text and more.
This is a quality site to help young emergent readers.

Read to Me is an engaging site where kids can listen to books told by celebrities.

The celebrities are all Las Vegas performers and are pretty entertaining. Kids may recognize some of them but probably not all.
Printable PDFs of lesson plans are available as well as the author’s site, celebrity reader’s site and publisher site. Stories can be viewed full screen.
I watched a couple and they were very good, something I think students will enjoy. The Read to Me videos took a bit of time to load so I would suggest loading them before showing to students.
Notice in the screenshot above that they even have one in Spanish. Would be great if they added a few more like this. They also had a few for students who are hearing impaired, which uses American Sign Language.

The Pluto Rap is a fun resource you can use when teaching about the solar system. It is part of the free animated book collection from Mighty Books. Although there is a fee to subscribe they offer many free books that will delight and amuse your students.
Kids will really enjoy this collection of free ebooks from the “You wouldn’t want to be… series from Salariya Publishers. Subjects include mummies, gladiators, polar explorers, and crew members of a 19th century whaling ship.

This is a really nice collection of books, with audio and text that younger students will love. Many of the characters will be familiar to them while others will be new introductions. Fantastic illustrations accompany each book.

Mighty Books has many free online books that are very charming and really entertaining. The books have both audio and text. I just listened to How Mona Lisa Got her Smile and know students would really enjoy it. They have several really nice books that are art and music related as well as other subjects too.

To access their “hundreds” of books the description rate is $24.95 per classroom. This site would help make a fantastic listening/reading center. If the quality of the books is the same as the free ones I definitely think it is more than worth the price.
