Love Class Tools, especially the ones that can be customized. This excellent post by Michael Gorman at 21st Century Educational Technology and Learning, gives a synopsis of each tool and a direct link to the tool.
If you have never used Class Tools head over to Michael’s blog and read more about it. Nothing to loose ‘cause the tools are all free!

Very easy to use and you can also highlight areas of your document or image with a red pen.
Tried it out tonight and was very happy I did.
I am so excited to share this resource! FRABOOM Online Children’s Museum is a FANTASTIC (mostly free), educational website for kids. It is the epitome of Web 2.0. Features include games/interactives, Fraboom TV, interactive books and live classes. Yes! You read me right…LIVE CLASSES for Kids.
Screenshot of Live Class
The classes feature a live teacher who interacts with the kids online while teaching them. Students can send messages to the teacher and receive a reply. I just participated in a fun drawing class and the teacher responded to me as well as the other “kids” in the class. How cool it is for kids to have their names heard online as well as their work shared with everyone in the class.
This site is a total winner!

I am totally in love with this interactive!!! It is one of the coolest drawing tools for kids. Finish the picture, save to gallery or computer, and print options available.

Some presidential games available on FRABOOM
Everything that I have shown you here is FREE on Fraboom. Even the live classes although I did not see a schedule for them. The only difference I could find with the free and paid version ($5.99 a month) was a few games.

The Canadian Teacher is a great site that is available to everyone. I was happy to find that they have a nice assortment of “Teacher Tools” that can be used by teachers of any grade level.
Check out the screenshot of what they have to offer below.
*Also check out their printables for teachers in pdf. format
I have added The Canadian Teacher to my Classroom Printables LiveBinder.
I ran across Vicki Blackwell’s website last night and I believe my heart skipped a beat. It is an amazing website for teachers with lots of freebies, tutorials, links and more.
Below I share a few highlights but be sure to check out her site because you will be astounded by all she has to offer.
I’m telling you to check out this site now! But only if you have a few days to spend there. It is loaded with stuff teachers will love.
Combines Tech and Non-Tech to Create Wonderful Books by students. This would be a great find in itself.
Our First Product Testing
Last week my students and I had the opportunity to test a really unique product…a pencil sharpener! You may ask how can a pencil sharpener be unique. Well read along to find out about the “Quietest Classroom Pencil Sharpener”.
My art students*, many staff members and I tried the “Quietest Classroom Pencil Sharpener” and made many observations. Here they are.
We give the “Quietest Classroom Pencil Sharpener” five stars…our highest rating!
If you would like to learn more about the “Quietest Classroom Pencil Sharpener” click here.
*Student testers ranged in age from ages 7-15. Adults did not disclose their ages.
**We used all types of pencils in our test but mainly cheap dollar store packs. All sharpened well. The same can not be said for my expensive electric pencil sharpener.
***We receive no profit from sales of this product. However we did receive a wonderful pencil sharpener that we are thrilled with.
