Love Rocks….literally!

This project is all over Pinterest. I added a few ideas to make it more classroom related.

Collect rocks or pick them up at the dollar store. A few bags should do the trick.
Paint hearts on the rocks. I would even add words like the ones you find on “conversation hearts”.
Place them around the school for others to find either indoors or out.
Send some to a nursing home and they could put them in the plants located throughout the residence. These will make great gifts for parents and grandparents too.

Instead of paint you may want to consider using paint markers. Kids love using these and they will make adding words to their rocks much easier. You can get these at Michaels, Hobby Lobby, etc.
